The new century presents us with increasing challenges and accelerating change.

Transformational leadership will prepare leaders to learn, change and grow in moving from today's strengths to meet tomorrow's demands: "The ability to influence, energise and mobilise the activities of others."

Being a leader involves far more than learning about leadership - it requires:

  3. Courage and Will
  4. Attitude and Personality

ChangeWorks' Leadership programme is built around workshops and personal coaching which focus on thinking about leadership, developing leadership skills, and creating personal action plans for growth. The individual coaching is designed to reinforce the content of the workshops and help participants make this learning real for their own work environment.

Consequently the participants will become a leadership group that will form a nucleus to spread the transformational leadership model amongst their wider organisation. Each participant's leadership journey will derive from a philosophy of leaders developing leaders.


Practical applications

An additional component, which can be built into the programme is for the leadership group to work together on a project that will allow transformational leadership skills to be developed. By working together, the participants experience first hand the strengths and weaknesses of various leadership approaches.

This practical application will bring the leadership principles to life and provide relevance to the programme in a way that will benefit the sponsoring organisation.
