Who is ChangeWorks?

ChangeWorks is a Management Consultancy established in 2001 by Grant Herman and Shona Mainwaring. Their motivation in establishing the consultancy was to provide advice on how to build strength and sustainability in people practices through sound leadership, change and management.

Grant came to consultancy from a senior role in Shell where he led major change both in New Zealand and overseas. Shona’s experience is as a consultant and as a senior member of a number of teams in both government and the private sector. Together, Grant and Shona have built a successful business providing advice to a wide range of government, private and not for profit clients.

Working from a strong values base with the approach of partnering others in their business, they are known for their pragmatism, delivery and thoughtful approach to the challenges facing organisations.

Shona and Grant are joined in ChangeWorks by consultants Elizabeth Harper and Tony Thomson.

ChangeWorks has practical experience in Leadership, Change Management, Strategy Development and Facilitation. We understand what works and what does not.
